Human dimensions of wildfire: reflections on wildfire evacuation experiences and evacuation alternatives

posted Sep 15, 2022, 6:55 PM by Joe Christy
On Thursday evening, September 29 at 6pm we are very lucky to host Amanda Stasiewicz, co-Director, NSF IUCRC Wildfire Interdisciplinary Research Center and Department of Environmental Studies, San José State University who will give a presentation via Zoom, on Human dimensions of wildfire: reflections on wildfire evacuation experiences and evacuation alternatives.
You may have been interviewed by Prof. Stasiewicz in the summer of 2021 about the CZU fire. Her work was recently featured in the New Yorker in an article by Ingfei Chen about The Terrifying Choices Created by Wildfires, which focuses on the Bonny Doon experience of the CZU fire.
You can join the meeting here on that evening only.
