Warrenella Shaded Fuel Break Project "Before"

posted Oct 4, 2014, 11:51 AM by Joe Christy   [ updated Oct 10, 2014, 4:33 PM ]

This event is now closed. We have reached capacity. There will be another tour in Winter 2015-2016 after work is completed.

Before we start work, we are offering a tour of and conversation about the Warrenella Shaded Fuel Break project. The tour is aimed at land managers, fire scientists, land stewards, and interested neighbors. We will traverse the length of the project, from Empire Grade to the BLM Coast Dairies boundary, stopping at selected places of interest to discuss the challenges and treatment types we plan to use.

High ground clearance vehicles are required. Attendance will be limited by the number of vehicles available and/or considerations of dust from multiple vehicles. Sign up here.

You will be required to sign a release form to enter the property.

This project is supported by the United States Forest Service through grant 14 USFS-SFA 0052
