Feeling generous? Procrastination can only get you so far.

Friends, in the next few days the Bonny Doon Fire Safe Council will finish a 200' wide, 7.5 mile long fuel break from Empire Grade to the coastal prairie above Davenport, complementing the 1.4 mile fuel break from upper Alba toward Felton that we built last summer.

While we didn't quite make it to the finish by the end of the year, you still have time to make a tax-deductible donation to your Fire Safe Council in 2015, when you date and mail us a check today. Though the landscape level project to bisect the fireshed of Ben Lomond Mountain absorbed almost all of our energies in 2015, we plan to focus on neighborhood and parcel level projects in 2016. Our landscape level projects have all been grant-funded for the work on the ground and otherwise supported by volunteers; we have *no* overhead, beyond the insurance that is required to work on public safety projects and responsibly handle the attendant liability. Our small scale projects depend entirely on our stalwart volunteers and the generosity of our community.

Today, please help us protect our community, homes and environment from wildfire by sending a consider a tax-exempt donation to Bonny Doon Fire Safe Council, Inc., 150 McGivern Way, Santa Cruz, CA 95060.

Thank you & happy new year!
